Why Does Healing Take so Long?
We know salvation is true but when we do not see people saved is it still true? Why do we look at healing differently. We get our salvation by making the faith a part of us.
Mar 16:17-18
(17) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
(18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Part of the Great Commission is for salvation. Also, part of the Commission is to get people healed. So many scriptures after that show that healings and tounges happened after the word was preached. All of the things mentioned here happen during the book of Acts.
They lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. But it does not always happen instantly. It is instant for God, but it may take time for it to manifest itself in us. Just like salvation did not manifest itself in your life immediately, healing is the same way.
Gal 6:9
(9) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Healing manifestation has a due season. We are not to be weary in well doing. You can do something right and get tired of it. That is in the flesh, in the spirit you will not grow weary. When you plant something it comes up in "due season."
Due season could be said in different way as right time. Different crops take different times to grow. And it takes different times in different soils (heart conditions). It will come up at the time that it is supposed to come up, when it is the right time, not when we want it to. Healing is the same, it will come at the right time.
(4) Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
Deu 11:14
(14) That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
Two more scriptures with 'due season' in them. This is not like clockwork. There is a season that it will happen.
Psa 104:27
(27) These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
Psa 145:15
(15) The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
He gives food to us in 'due season.'
Pro 15:23
(23) A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
There is a right thing to say at the time.
Ecc 10:17
(17) Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!
There is a proper time to eat, when you are hungry.
Heb 10:35
(35) Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.
Confidence means trust, do not cast away your trust. If you hang on you will get a reward.
Heb 10:36
(36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
You will receive the promise. You need patience.
Patience is not a gift that you can get. It comes in the fiery circumstances that will come in life.
Heb 10:37
(37) For yet, a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
God's little while is not the same as our little while. Here it talks about the rapture. If we believe that it is going to happen, why cannot we fight for healing the same way. God keeps all His promises.
If it has not manifest yet, it could be that you need to increase the patience in yourself. The manifestation of the healing in your life is not an indicator that you are healed. You are not healed because you believe and you are not 'not healed' because you do not believe. God says you are healed, now believe. If you believe there are men in the earth or do not believe there are men in the earth, does that change the fact that there are men in the earth?
Healing came from God and He is unchanging, how come you do not believe it happened? Do not blame God because you are not healed.
Do not judge others on how their healing appears. How they appear does not change if they are healed. Jesus spoke the Word that the fig tree would not be eaten of forever. It did not look like it was different immediately, but the tree died to it roots shortly thereafter.
My body which is changeable will have to settle in with the fact that I am healed. God is more interested in your character growth than your healing growth.
Rom 5:3
(3) And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
What you know is what lets you give glory in a tribulation.
Rom 8:25
(25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Heb 6:12
(12) That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Find people who through faith and Patience have made it through what you are going through.
Heb 12:1
(1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Every weight is the excuses, sin that besets us is giving up, the race is the manifestation of the healing. Yes, it talks about heaven but healing can easily be put in its place.
Heb 12:2-3
(2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(3) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Jesus looked forward to the joy that is to come of people being saved. We can work our way though the manifestation of our healing as well.
Jam 1:3-5
(3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
(5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
James says when you seek wisdom in the healing, God will provide it for you.
Jam 5:7-8
(7) Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
(8) Be ye also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
A farmer waits for the crops. You can learn to wait for what you need. Stabilize your heart with the Word.
